ModPod brings harmony to your Modern Pod, whether its a family, interest group, friend group, fraternity/sorority, or any other pod that wants to easily organize, communicate, collaborate and have fun. Key features include the group calendar, event management, secure end-to-end encrypted chat, shared to-do and shopping lists, polls, location sharing, photo galleries, member directories, shared contacts (e.g., the family doctor), and calendar synchronization with Google, iCalendar, Outlook, TeamSnap and more. MODPOD IS COMPLETELY FREE.

At the core of ModPod are “Pods.” A pod can be your family, a friend group, interest group, sorority, etc. You simply create a pod, send out an invite through the app or by text or email, and invited members can join the pod with a simple touch. Then the fun begins!

Pods have two modes of operation - Family mode and Group mode.

In Family mode, you can see everyone’s activities at a glance on the app home page. It’s designed for busy families that need to track and manage numerous activities on a daily basis. Think of a busy family where kids have music lessons, after school activities, and sports practices. ModPod organizes all these activities, sends out reminders, provides driving directions and more. ModPod is also great for planning family vacations and outings, as you can track hotel or AirBnB reservations and create multi-day agendas.

Group mode is designed for pods up to 100 members where activities may be less frequent (e.g., maybe a weekly bike ride with friends, a Formula 1 or NFL fan group, or a sorority or fraternity) but communication is key. In Group mode, you can see what’s upcoming for the pod, sign up for events with one touch, see who is attending, view and join recent conversations and see new members.

Group Calendar. ModPod’s group calendar is absolutely beautiful. It features multiple features to make planning an event, whether it’s a family dinner, a volunteer event or a greek social, super easy. The calendar features scrollable monthly views, a weekly view with more details, a daily “snapshot view” to show you everything happening right now (even the weather forecast!), and an hourly view that shows each pod member’s calendar side by side and color coded. Additional unique features for events are the ability to search locations (e.g., enter a restaurant, airport or soccer field name), and ModPod automatically shows you the matching location(s).

Group Chat and Messaging. ModPod features SECURE, END-TO-END ENCRYPTED Chat and notifications. Your private conversations stay private, and administrators can remove conversations to protect member privacy. ModPod’s chat has all the features you want, including likes, pressing @ to direct a message to a specific user, sending images, multiple topics, and direct sharing from apps and websites.

Photo Sharing and Galleries. Photo Galleries allow you to record and share your best memories and experiences. Whether it’s a family trip or a group outing, members can easily upload photos and include optional captions and descriptions. Easily sort photos to tell a better story.

Member Profiles. ModPod users get to choose what information is shared with each pod. Your information is entered once in your main profile, then you simply choose what to share with each pod. So maybe all your contact info is in your family pod, but only a display name is shared with your fan group. Optional information includes your mobile phone, work phone, address, work address, job title and all of your social media handles, including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Linkedin, Twitter, TikTok, personal URL and Venmo.

Shared Contacts. ModPod lets pod members enter or share contacts from their device with the pod. For families, maybe it’s grandma and grandpa, the cousins and aunts and uncles, the piano teacher, caretaker, close friends, the family doctor and dentist. You can even share a contact for a set period of time, and then the contact is removed.
